"My experience as a therapist helps me understand the relations between emotions and matter. Each individual's life path is unique, as well as the disruption of its natural physiological state. I am passionate about human beings as a whole"
Saskia Bolay is of Philippine-Swiss nationality, and was brought up in Kenya.
After ten years of professional experience in the field of medical diagnostics (CHUV) and research (University of Lausanne), she took interest in the holistic approaches of oriental medicine.
She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine with Prof. Ma Fan in Lausanne, followed by the pathologies of the psychic dimension, with Dr Yair Maimon in Amsterdam. Her emphasis on the importance of child care has inspired her to undertake post-graduate training in pediatric acupuncture and auriculotherapy.
In 2013, convinced by the importance of Integrative Medicine in promoting health, she opened the "Centre de Soi", a complementary medical health center.
During a trip to Japan in 2015, she trained at Edward Obaidey’s clinic. She discovered the inspiring teaching (meridian therapy) of his master Masakazu Ikeda Sensei, as well as Japanese acupuncture and moxibustion techniques (using fine needles, inserted superficially on the skin).
This gentle, caring and respectful of every patient needling technique is the style of acupuncture she adopts in her daily practice.
